JP Art Consultancy| Louis Blondiau

Louis Blondiau's work is mostly about landscapes or people looking at landscapes, silence and space. In these paintings he does not try to represent a location in particular but rather the action of looking at nature.

These paintings try to convey the idea that the simple experience of being here and now can be surprisingly fulfilling.

"We have what we seek. It is there all the time, and if we slow down and be still, it will make itself know to us." (Thomas Meurton) In 2014, paintings of Blondiau were among the 20 short listed of the Open exhibition organised by the Dulwich Picture Gallery. The paintings of Blondiau are in many private collections.

Blondiau studied at the Art School of Braine l’Alleud but he is predominately a self-taught artist.
