JP Art Consultancy| Adrienne Hunter

Adrienne Hunter lives and works in St Leonards-on-Sea. She works on paper mainly with charcoal, inks and washes of colour in an expressive, unconfined  style in an attempt to convey the irrepressible energy and resilience of nature. Trees, flowers and coastal landscape are her starting points and are transformed into wild portraits. She combines deliberate marks with semi-controlled use of gesso and washes to investigate the constantly changing, unpin-down-able character of her subject matter. The work is about the very physical process of working as much as about the trees, flowers and cliffs themselves.
